Why does CY have the large diameter "roll" on the right stick?

I was looking at some pictures today and noticed that Curtis Youngblood has what looks to be a large diameter knob on the end of the right stick. Does he fly a mix of dual/single stick radio? Does this knob control the tail? If not, what is the reason for it? Maybe he can answer, just curious if maybe it just gives him better control when flying. I flew some single stick years ago, but I have not seen a single stick radio in a long time. Thanks.
