servos in a heli only draw high amperage if they're binding and become stalled (like a maladjusted tail servo). otherwise, they have free movement and a CCPM head doesn't draw much amperage from the 3 cyclic servos...........

Yup I knew I wasn't overthinking the 3amp bec/regulator issue. I will probably invest in the capacitor and see if it works. I've got a servo-sense from dimension engineering that I'll throw on and see if I can measure the current going through the system. No binding, only one cyclic at maximum positive and negative. I did have a rather weak tail imo opinion. I wonder if that could've had anything to do with what happened. I have a 401/9254 and that holds just fine.It's just one of those heli days...
