It's easier to go big I would just like to say that since i started flying helis ( about 2 Months ago ) I have been practicing in primaraly small areas. I learned to hover in my warehouse at work and sometimes in my garage or yard. Forward flight I started about two weeks ago in my yard going back and forth in an area about 20 foot square. I purchase my Blade cpp a week and a half ago and the head speed scared me to fly in my yard; so, i went to the local air field which happens to be across the street (Los Alamitos Ca. Anyone?) Since then I have increased my abilities ten fold. I can fly at high speeds and do tight turns, or nose in and stop on a dime in front of me from 100 feet up and 100 feet away. All this I learned in just a couple of visits because THERE IS NOTHING TO HIT 100 FEET OF OF THE GROUND IN THE MIDDLE OF AN EMPTY FIELD. If you get a little out of control, you have plenty of time to recover. To anyone who is learning and getting frustrated, get out and go BIG!!! |
