Who Holds The Crown?
Who is the number one pilot in the world now? and who do you think is the up-and-comer to watch for this year? I know as of last year Scott was #2 in the world, and you hear a lot about the brothers Szabo but who holds the "Crown" so-to-speak in the 3D world?

There can only be one best...
but the amount of real talent out there is staggering...

Many many folks are flying the crap out of these things.. I am seriously impressed by many of you.

I wish I had the time to give this hobby so I could do half the things you guys are doing...

hats off... but not for too long... I am balding

I guess that depends how you define "best".

I define it as the pilot that can rank high in both FAI/F3C and in 3D.

So without a doubt, for me that is Hiroki Ito from Japan, Scott Gray from Canada and Curtis Youngblood from the USA.

I have to say that although I don't think he is ranked number #1 in the world, ASJ is the most enjoyable for me to watch. I love his flying style. I have seen MANY top pilot vids and his always stand out to me...

Hard to choose, but CY is just so smooth. Some I'm sure prefer the stick banging style of the day, but I appreciate a polished to perfection routine.Treat me good, I'll treat you better. Treat me bad, I'll treat you worse.

As TOSH mentioned, Daniel Jetschin is an amazing pilot. IMOH he moved the 3D flying to a whole new level. I never replayed any pilots video as much as I replayed his. What a treat to watch him fly.Just do it.

Without doubt, Curtis Youngblood now he is the daddy.

His 3d is so smooth and it is just a pleasure to watch, and above all he still has both feet on the ground when you talk to him.

For me it has to be Curtis, yes there are others that have unbelievable skills in 3d and even in f3c but so far there isn't a pilot other than curtis that flies all out 3d with the precision of f3c and a style of flying that nobody else seems to be able to match.
His flight is more like a ballerina with precise flowing maneuvers where most of the others are more like brake dancers.

The chaos crown however in my opinion belongs to AS Jr without a doubt.
Last of all the auto crown must go to H-C as he is the king of retaining headspeed during an auto.
