YS 50 Update Well, I was able to fly about 15 flights on my new YS50ST Engine. So far I am satisfied with the power with both low and high end. I had replaced this with my OS50Hyper (Raptor) as a comparison and found that the YS has a bit more low and top end then the OS. I know it sounds bias since the spec sheet is the same as the OS (fairly), but I do see and feel a difference with the new motor.
I am also running the CYB Muscle pipe and 30% Magnum Fuel. I can hear that the sound also is a bit different from the OS, seems to run a bit leaner as well. I am about 1.3-1.2 clicks out on the high end after break-in and low end needle hasn't changed from stock.So over all I am very satisfied with the purchase of the YS engine, I will also be swapping back to the OS for comparison again but so far so good.  If anyone would like to add some feedback with their experience so far with the YS50(US, since new in the states) please post.      |
