Me too...
You ain't the only one! Take a close look at the pinion gear on the clutch bell when you have a chance. If there's any serious flight time on this bird you'll see some major wear on the teeth. A new main gear probably won't last long and also the white gear driving the tail belt shaft will need replacing too.

Unique Part...
No, the C-10's gear is much larger in diameter, white and incorporates the autorotation clutch in its center. Kinda like a big T-Rex 450 main gear. A friend has horded maybe 10 of them but won't let them go That's OK because I know where he lives!

C-10
Sorry to here about your friend, maybe it's time to arm your heli and go on a gun run! I just few mine today but I'm worried that something will happen to it and you know hard it is to get parts. Man after 15 years and it still flys great!

Blades for Concept 10...
Sorry to say, the only blades to perform properly with the 10 are the factory foam blades. You need a 420mm long blade that's no heavier than stock and with a very forward chordwise CG.

I've tried others and the lack of thrust bearings prevents using the heavy composite blades and the play in the mixing base/arms forces one to select blades with a stable and forward CG. Anything else will make for tracking errors you just can't believe!

If anyone else has had success with off-brand (non Kyosho) blades, I'd like to hear it.

The Zeal Z-11 head is supposed to be a direct replacement. Don't know any details though...

K C 10 rotorhead.
I had a Zeal head on my until I bent it in a crash. I put the stock head back on. I have and old Hirobo MH 10 head With blades sitting around collecting dust, don't know if it will fit the mast. Anybody?

Maybe...
...with a machine shop at your disposal the MH10 head could be adapted. The C10 uses a 7mm main shaft whereas the Hirobo's is 8mm. Cyclic mixing for the MH10 is done on the blade grip pitch arms via double-ended levers vs a sliding pitch lever system on the Concept. With some ingenuity one could combine the best parts of the two heli's to make one less prone to boom striking. Anyone up for the challenge?

Scale C10...
No, was never motivated enough. I think I saw a picture of the Kyosho Jet Ranger body, intended for the Concept EP, installed on a C10. May have even been a Kyosho factory provided picture. Another possibility is the BK117 body for the MH10 and those are much easier to locate than the Kyosho parts in my opinion.
