Let us not forget this is A HOBBY. If I can't fly what I want and do what I want then I will find a hobby where I can. That is why I want a Avant. The "bling" has little to nothing to do with it. It is all in design and just as Dave hit the nail on the head. Asthetics. I like the looks in conjunction with the mechanical design. I like the looks of a Synergy, but the other side is a different story.

So you are selecting a heli on the basis of a $70 canopy?

The aurora, under the hood, doesn't look much different than other high end models of its cost. EG stratus, vibe, N9

Funny

I just kinda find it funny it still isn't out by now. You don't possibly think it can be another month, but they just keep ticking on by. More less just entertaining watching this forum and replying on ocassion. Kills the time in the day

I still have my pre-order.. On the positive side, the interest alone that has accrued over the months of waiting will pay for the good portion of the heli, who knows by the time it is released it might be fully paid for by interest

I've been kind of in and out on following this machine's status. I don't get it though....why even advertise it this far in advance if the proper procedures aren't in place to get it manufactured and shipped? I mean, a couple of months is ok but I started hearing about this thing a year ago....with promises that it would be available around November/December.www.louisianahelicam.com

Answer

Easy answer, undercut your competition. Take potential sales away from synergy. align, etc., example anouncing it would be available at 3dm last year, etc. That is the only logical answer I can think about. Let the flamming begin!

From the first pictures I saw of the Aurora, I knew I had to have one!
I`m glad I got in on the first pre-order, and I don`t have to wait for the second release. With age, my patience has improved.
For me the wait and antisapation is part of the fun. For now I will
fly what I have and pratice so when the release comes I will be better
prepaired. The Aurora will be my first 90, it`s the Aurora or I will
stick with the 50`s.

This entrepreneur has made few mistakes with the Aurora.
The mayor one the release day.
If he sells a Helicopter with no problems he will successful, but if you start to hear problems like the Synergy and Miniature have had, well the statistics say that a New Entrepreneur will fall or be successful in six months.
I will wait the six months plus another 6 months to make sure that this heli wil be a home rum.
I will not denied that the heli looks attractive. I ordered while ago the upgrade for the Hirobo from them and it has a nice finish. But again few parts were missing, but I was taking care.
PS. Mr Dave Y. you told me that Montoya was going to do fine in Nascar. What Happened ? He have not done anything lately..

Even if the early announcement of the Aurora was done for predatory purposes. This has not hurt Synergy sales from what I've seen.

Truth is that there are quite a few people buying, flying, and loving their Synergies, despite the purported QC issues. Go to Rick's, you'll see that the Synergy is almost always sold out.

This might change once the Aurora REALLY comes out, if only in a timely fashion. Competition is ramping up from all sides though.

I'm glad there has not been a release of the aurora. All winter I wanted one in the worst way. All spring I've been flying the snot out of my evo 90, and I realized it does all that I ask of it. I fly mid level 3d(piro flips, funnels, snakes ect). I now realize that the pilot makes the skills not the heli. Maybe next year I will be good enough to out fly my evo, maybe just in time for the Aurora release
