Tough Stance Turk. You may have missed it but the "16 Digits" post was made by Mark himself. I see that it has been removed.
I had not heard anything about the "16 Digits" so I certainly did not go looking for them and I have no intention of looking for them.
I still have no idea what or why that link was posted in this subject. For some reason when I clicked on the link it opened a page and locked my computer. Forcing me to reboot. I did this twice to check and make sure. In my opinion that was out of line. But I do understand that it is Mark Ryder's site and he can do what he wants. As long as it don't affect my computer.This Thing Has More Bugs Than a Big City Flop House.

Some intarweb weenie has posted some kind of code on that page that's bogus and making IE run like crazy.

I didn't mean it to sound like too tough a stance, but the owner of a web forum is, in some ways, responsible for the content of the forum. This is total BS, but it is what it is. Remember napster.

The digital millenium act has made breaking an entities software security illegal. This includes passwords, hash value checks, encryption, etc. Distributing it is the same as doing it, similar to selling stolen property is almost as bad as stealing the stuff yourself. Then there's the implications from groups like RIAA which somehow have power that overcomes the constitution and the bill of rights.

Between all this legal gobbly guck, I too would maintain an extremely firm stance on all things to deal with pirating copyrighted material. The 16 digits were supposed to be "uncrackable" and where designed as an all in wonder security feature to protect copyrights. But everyone knows that there is always some smarter or craftier out there.

You can be assured that groups that monitory music and movie copyright enfringment are SUPER pissed.

uh, if a person wanted to know what this number was for a, um, purely uh, scientific reason and not to use it for anything, you know "illegal" like copying music or videos, where exactly could it "probably" be found?

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care!

What are you guys talking about and what does it have to do with Cranet?

Just to get the story straight, it seems he posted the 16 hexadecimal digits that unlocks HD encrypted content that is why he was booted out. Did I sum it right?

Mark was stunting his posts for some time and waiting to boot him. This was just his poor excuse. I remember threads where Mark was calling him and all his helis out saying that it was just a tax shelter.
