"The stand also interferes with the TX antenna in that has to be bent in the totally up position (which is probably where it should be, anyways)."If you have a metal handle on your Tx the antenna should be left a couple of inches away from it when flying according to Jim Drew the CEO if xps. |

The tip of the antenna should point 90 deg away from the aircraft. Think of the RF pattern as a giant donut. There is minimal signal strength in the donut hole. The antenna stick spears the donut thru the hole. Don't aim the antenna at the aircraft.Fritz 'Send Money, Women and Guns!' |

Well, flew all day on the new XPS system. It definately works as advertised. I got tired walking out on the range check I think I may have had one lag in response, but it was windy, and I was about 1000 feet downfield with the heli pulling into a turn-around stall. I went to roll slightly left to correct for wind drift, and it didn't seem to roll on cue. There seemed to be a 1/2 second lag before the left roll started.I'm thinking the system may have switch channels to a cleaner set during that time. It wasn't long enough to be a failsafe event, but was just barely noticable. So, it would seem the system worked just like it's supposed to.This was after 5 previous flights today with no issues, all doing FAI style flying with far out (1000ft+) turn-arounds.I am also having to get used to the faster control response from my 72mhz PCM system. It took a good portion of the day to get my flying settled down from over-controlling in my precision hovering practice.Overall, the system worked just like it's supposed to. I also flew alongside other users on the Spektrum system, and saw no issues.I highly recommend this system.Erich |

I finally got a chance to fly my XPS system in my Raptor 50 today. It worked great, my heli use to kick the tail left about 25 degrees when I would stop a fast decend, I fought it for months and today I tried and tried to get it to kick the tail. No luck the tail was rock solid. I had a great time flying today and am going to buy another receiver for my other Raptor 50.Rick |

Hello Rick_HYou'll have to excuse my ignorance, but why would the XPS cure a kicking tail on descent?(Perhaps you've altered some of your gyro & governor settings in the process.)Are you sure this passes the "so what" test? |

No, I did not change any of the radio settings. I had a radio glitch that only presented itself on descents. As I have said I have been trouble shooting it for months. Tried Gyro tuning, Engine tuning, re-lubed the bearings. It seemed to always happen when descending from my right side. It may have been a radio antenna lobe issue. After installing this radio it is gone, The tail held rock steady for all three flights.Rick |

Kick YOu may have been experiencing some sort of RF interference at a certain resonance frequency during those fast descents that was not experienced at any other time. The XPS system is immune to mechanical and electrical noise generated by our machines. 2.4ghz is simply too high above the noise frequencies a helicopter can generate.TylerEnjoy things that money can buy IF you don't lose the things money can't buy. |

Total of 30 flights and not a single problem with my 9303. I love the "connected" feel and the Piece of Mind of not being "shot down". |

Does anyne have one of the anodized aluminum stands on their XPS equipped transmitters? Any problems with interference? I like my stand but am willing to give it up if that's what it takes to get this working good.THX John B. McNamara

I have the plastic/chromed Hangar 9 stand on my 9303...It doesn't cause any RF interference, but it does physically. Some guys Dremel out a slot for the antenna(s) so the stand can fold down. I have yet to do that myself.Erich |

You mean freq diversity, path diversity and time diversity? that DX7 uses but not the XPS System? |

No diversity.. are all aware of the lack of diversity inherent in the xps? You surely are not speaking about antenna diversity, as that is too obvious. It is one of the few things I do not like about the system. If you are referring to frequency diversity, then that depends on your definition.Later;D.W.Gettin old aint for sissies! |

A question about the pin configuration on the receiver. Servos normally have the signal pin as the centre and then power as the 2 outside pins. The XPS manual shows the signal pin as being one of the outside ones. Is this an error or what's the deal here??? |
