when you purchase or view the product description...
it tells you that you (at least in the USA) need at least a technician class license to operate these transmitters-
I bought several 900's, 1.2g's, and 2.4g's-
the 900 has 500 mW of power, the rest are in excess of 3 watts of transmitting power.
So to be in compliance, one needs to take a 35 question fcc exam for technician class to be legal to operate these things.
If you have some electronic background (such as myself as an electrical engineer) you could study the book, take the exam for 14 bucks, and live happily for 10 years ( license are good for 10 years), plus, if you come across a more powerful transmitter system thats good for over 10 miles- you already have the license to operate, it just depends on what frequency it is.

As for RangeVideo, my buying experience has always been positive.

just my 2 cents

With my most recent order shipped in 3 days I have had no problems. I have to give two thumbs up too. If the guy had problems in the past then it looks like he has learned and reapplied his efforts to do a great job time after time in my experience. I think the product has been flawless when others named above have not.
I also agree with being legal and improving ones abilities with frequency. I studied the day before my ham test and passed with a perfect score. If I can do it any of these whining knuckle heads can too.

There are so many people out there selling this stuff that it's hard for me to think your going to improve someone’s business by trying to create a boycott. We all enjoy or suffer the consequences of our actions so let the world run its course. RV does great work these days so let him earn his part just as everyone earns theirs.

My first order took three days from ordering to having it in hand.
I generally place orders on Mondays so I'll have the product either the next day or Wednesday at the latest. Vova was good with following up on the many emails I sent. No luck on getting to them to call me, but I did get the parts in the time line I expected - Overnight.
