I'm undecided to purchase the 61sxh or the 70Szh for an R60. I going to be running CP15%. Of Course the 70 will have more power, but I'm just in the beginning stages of flying (no 3-D) so that is not a concern. Reliability and fuel efficiency are my two areas of concern.
Does anyone have any first hand experience with both these engines?
What would be your recommendation.
Thanks!

OS70 v OS61SXH
IMHO having just changed from an OS61SXH-WC to an OS70SZ-H, it's the best upgrade I've made to my Milly. More power, more torque, less noise and longer flight times. It even works well with a GV-1.

If your just starting out with a 60 size then go for the 70 as the extra umph will be there when you're ready.

Hope this helps

IS the 70 better on fuel.... is that why your getting longer flight times?
Thanks!

Bird,

Go for the 70SZ. There seems to be an overall high opinion of the motor on this fourm. I have 200 plus flights on one and it has never missed a beat. It has never quit on me except for the times I ran it out of fuel.

A guy that I fly with alot has an R60 with a 61wc and MP1 on 30% and gets about the same milage as I get on 15%. So I would say the 70 drinks more fuel but we have the same power and I run a 90 muffler on 15% so I'm saving on set up cost and fuel. If you choose the 70 for the R60 then you might want to consider the 80-90 upgeade tank. Just my worthless opinion.

Go with the 70...It's MUCH easier to make run smoother...I've run both of the engines you're asking about in my Pro2K...
The 70 was smooth as glass... It is a bit more expensive than the 61, but it runs so much smoother...plus it makes more power on 15% fuel than the 61 on 30%...I've checked this out myself.

I've bought 2 70's so far from Heliproz. They have a great deal on the engine and the Maverikk muffler for $289.

The muffler is of good quality and works well... I just flew mine in my Fury during lunchtime!
