My MPII has got all manner of crud on it now and I'd like to get it back to the shiny state it was in when I got it.

Any ideas?

Cook it in a crock pot with ethylene glycol (anti freeze)....Will strip it down clean in about 6 hours....

Do a search for crock pot....it's been a much ado topic for cleaning (and safety during the cooking...)

What he said but,
make sure you do all the cooking outdoors. The fumes are deadly.

Mother's Aluminum Mag Wheel polish works very well on aluminum mufflers. Rub until the white polish turns black, and wipe off with a clean soft towel.

Thanks, John Cadwell

Just use car chrome polish
I use AutoGlym chrome polish on my pipes to take them back to as new condition.
No fumes, no ruining saucepans, no waiting for hours

Try it...

I use anti freeze (cheap non synthetic) simmer for a couple of hours pull out rub with old tooth brush then back in the brew.
When you get all the crud off I use autosol metal polish, black and gold toothpaste tube.
Looked flash as a rat with a gold tooth.
Looking foward to feb8/9
Regards Don
