Great shots zecamera! That runway looks mighty short though, but I guess you can drop off the end and maybe fly around for another go

Awesome shooting Zecamera

Here are a couple of shots from our new model-club amphibian site at Lake Rotowaru, Huntly, Hamilton NZ.

And my stretched T600E is in here. Instead of the SLR (+ 2nd operator), today I shot solo with a Ricoh R8 on interval-5second mode, in "auto" and guessed direction. The wind was up and flying solo with Eyetops wasn't an attractive idea today

Great photos everyone!!

Sent the heli up this evening to see what the sunset looked like from the air and I was amazed!

19mm (in 35mm equivalent terms), 1/30s, F5.6, ISO800, manual focus, Canon EOS450D

That was with two hard-graduated filters positioned over the horizon which reduced the light from the sky by about 1 2/3 stops, leaving the ground unaffected. Using filters really has opened up a new dimension of photography for me, both aerial and ground-based!

Just thought I'd share

Cheers!

David

I've been using graduated NDs for some time now. They do help a lot with maintaining proper exposure with a bright sky.

Hey David,

Nice job with those filters. Can you share what filters you use. I mean what brand and things like that.

Thanks a lot

Awesome shots everyone. Love that sunset shot David.

Although breezy, it was a great day for flying... other than the fact I had to auto my 450 in from about 80 ft. Not to mention on blacktop.
