Sorry girlfriend...

Go to my intro pages and you'll see what an equirectangular is or google it.

A software, such as Pano2VR, can convert the equirectangular image to that "mirrorball" and other types as well. There are also Photoshop plugins that'll do the same.

It's a really simple process. Drag and drop. Select and convert.

thanks guys,

temperatures were around 3° Fahrenheit which ist pretty unusual for this part of Germany.

Logo 600 worked perfectly under those conditions. I kept the flight batteries in the warm Bus to just before takeoff and had the dual 2s rx batteries wraped in a Armaflex foam "sleepingbag".

That's my biggest complaint with the 15mm - it squishes the bumps.
Jeff - I was referring to the wonderful scenery you shoot.

Torsten - Congrats on the newspaper run.

400+ mega pixel pans......
Just stepped out for a quick lunch time sortee... I am playing with the 24 mm 1.4L for cylindrical panoramas. This is for pans that I plan to print and want to eliminate some of the distortion when shooting with a wider lens. Please keep in mind this was a test..... it is not the most photogenic subject and would normally choose better light.

Jeff, this is V 1 of the 24mm. Goes to figure that two months after I purchased this Canon announced the release of the new 24..... Can't complain though this lens is supper sharp and very fast. Love it.

looks a little different this time of year..
Please feel sorry for me. I shot this tonight with an ambient of about 11 deg F. Not many shots with the sun low on the horizon have come out this well.. The atmospherics were pretty darned clear. Eat your heart out all you warm state'ers.

Click for the spherical.

Edit: Short story on the pic - this is our big park that we have festivals at. There are several pavilions which you can see, along with walking trails etc.

I feel sorry for you. But only because I know how cold 11 degrees is. Had to carry my 80 pound dog, on my back, almost a mile yesterday. (I know, off topic, I'll post in the frozen dog threads).

What bird did you use...and thanks for eliminating my excuses for not getting out and shooting

Flap - Frozen dog. Sounds like a interesting story!

The Logo took these shots. I flew it in sub zero temps and had no issues other than not feeling my fingers for the entire one minute flight - which the landing was one of the uglier ones I've had in a while. Looked like a drunk pilot I'm sure.

No excuse. Go fly. Shot this the same day. Slightly different perspective.

Oh, its been cold around Michigan. Stupid cold.

Then I see posts from Tabb in Hawaii, Mexico, etc.. wearing his Birkestocks and just count the days for the thaw.

There's a little distortion in the corners; Wide adaptor?
