OS37 killing OS 8 plugs
i'm using CoolPower 30% and 0S 8's in my OS 37 engine and after 1 -2 flights the engine gets low on power & quits and the plug has to be changed.the "coiled up wire " in plug looks streched .I try'd rich'n motor and then it smokes loads and crapy power. Any help ?
Any base settings to work with will be helpfull.

you do know that CP30 fuel DOES smoke a lot, right?

it certainly sounds like the engine is running too lean.

Did you seal the exhaust with RTV? If so look closely at the plug with a magnafying lens, if you see orange flecks there's your problem. If the coil is distorted though you are probably running lean.Andy

2 turns is way too rich for the OS 37. Try somewhere between 1.25 and and 1.5 and then lean it out to suit.

Most often short plug life with a mangled element is a sign of too much compression. Try lowering the nitro a bit or adding an9other head gasket.Paul Mcintosh
