.12-.21 heli?
Anyone make a .12-.21 chopper? I'm just not into electric and I have several OS 12's, 15's,18's, and 21's.
A heli a tad larger than a Trex 450 on nitro is what I'm looking for.
Don't know if they exist.
Thanks Dylan

Here you go... Its called a Blackhawk 500EP/GP. I would call these guys and see when they are getting more.

http://www.xheli.com/hearfnigasra.html

Its slightly bigger than a T-Rex, ~390-400mm blades if I recall. If you don't like it glow you can get the parts to make it electric. If you do a search (either here or at rcgroups.com i forget which) there is some video and a build thread.

I think you can get them from Nitroplanes.com too.

Have fun,
Mike

There are video's of it in the shogun section in here, the topic is called "new zoom 450". I bet it would be awesome if you were able to put an entire t-rex rotor mast assembaly in place of the plastic fantastic one that comes with it, I'm talking about every thing from the swash up. It would be soooooooo nice to get one of these setup real solid and just pump in fuel after each flight with out charging lipo's. One other thing about it is the foward belt drive pully on it. I would like to see it be a large direct drive pully off the main mast (like the raptor foward belt pully setup) instead of the gear reduction small pully type that is on it, they just seem more prone to failer to me. I could be totally wrong on this 1 though, and i'm sure the stock mast assembaly is fine too.

Here is a link to the manufacturer's site on it to see detailed description and there is a video in here too http://www.protech.be/html/t0503450ic.html

yep Pegasus .18, not really 3D, but for the price it is a great cheap little beater, bounces pretty well too

It runs a bit more pitch than you are used to, so if you mess with the stock set up to get more neg. pitch make sure you get a lot if it(-12) before you hit the idle up. SAB 440 carbon mains help a lot too.
I upgraded to a Revolution metal raptor 30 tail grip and 74mm MAH carbon tail blades just cause it looks cool.

Run the head speed up around 1900 and the little car motor is happy as all get out, and fuel is cheap, I run the same CY 30 as in the rest of my helis, just a whole lot less of it.
Just remember -- if the world didn't suck, we would fall off.

Hmm, who is going to be the first to take a .18 sized heli and slap a .32 in it. Call it a micro 50.I give up on Loctite, nothing lasts long enough to vibrate loose anymore.

The best one I have seen is the Protech Zoom 425. If you go into RRTV and take a look at the toy fair in germany then check out protech - it looks sweet. If you do a search a couple of people on here have them.

Hi David. Have you seen the black hawk fly? If so what did you think? I would love to see it in action, does he ever fly at any of the feilds?

I would probably want to figure out the dimensions for the clutch and see if I could toss something like a hot 7 port .18 size r/c truck/car engine with a mousse can pipe for a supercharged effect, but with a linear power band.
