It matters, thanks

I knew someone was going to say it’s a 12 year old thread, I didn’t see this thread 12 years ago and it still makes an interesting read and info. On the subject of rc helicopter history, Jim Morley of Morley helicopters was one of the pioneers of rc helicopters, if I can remember clearly he said to me that he started working and building rc choppers in the 60’s but didn’t write any articles about it so he never got the credits he deserved, another pioneer is Len Mount, he was really into giant and detailed scale helicopters and has been in the game since the early 70’s, I am glad to have met these great men but Jim I knew personally. Do a google search on them and see what you can find, this is for anyone interested in this thread.

Flying RC helicopters without gyro assistant is quite difficult.

Who was the pioneer on this gyro aplications?

Is it really that Mr. Curtis Youngblood is the "gyro app" pioneer?

This site, arguably, has the most complete content regarding RC helicopter history. http://www.vrhc.co.uk/index.php/en/

It appears RC gyros have been around for a long time. http://www.vrhc.co.uk/index.php/en/early-gyro-s

No mention of my first gyro, though. It was a Kraft mechanical.
