Thank you for the response and information, I still have couple of months before my enlistment will come to the end. Basically I'm just trying to get a worm and fuzzy of a heli friendly place to fly.

I'm sure New York will be a eye opener for me, as specially since I have been stationed on military bases for past 13 years and for the most part it was boondocks.

Once Again Thank You,
Armed

Had I not waited for you... you would had been there alone !

All kidding aside - The park should be open till 5:30pm and it wouldn't take much for the Park truck to loop into the back area to check for pilots before locking up. I may even print out a sign to hang on the front gate to let the Park personel know that I am on the field, and remove it when I leave.

Dino,

Thanks for the follow-up, it does seem to be an isolated incident, every time I past by the field at that time I see the gate open, Sometime even after 5:30pm. The fact that I just got off a plane from Europe and my body still thought that it was 11:30PM didn't help either.

It was a nice day today at the field. Sunny with a breeze.

David, the wind is picking up a bit.

Engine Compression Question
Hey Everyone,

I tried starting my 90 SZ for the first time in about a year and I stripped the glo plug slot on the head. After installing a new head, I tried starting the engine. It started after a bit of tinkering, didnt sound healthy and cut out at mid throttle. I replaced all fuel lines in and out and tried again. I noticed that there was very little compression in the engine and i could actually turn the "starter shaft receiver" with my finger. I dropped the engine out and there is very little compression. Do you guys think my engine is shot??

Low Compression
Tommy,

Most likely the compression ring on the piston is broken. You will need a new piston ring or a new engine. Also check to see if the piston sleeve is damaged.
