Hi Guys,

Here's a video of my Tripoli cert 1 flight yesterday. Basically, to fly high powered rockets at an insured field..you have to get certified..launch and recover..all in one piece. After the rocket event ended at 6pm, I gave the guys a demo with my electric Tiger jet..100mph

Rob from SRW how you been hey Mike do you buy the engines from Estee Etc or manufacture them yourself i started with Rockets as a child in the Eary 1970 s with my Uncle as a matter of fact we used to go to the old SRW field in Canarsie back in the day nice video looked like no wind well take care Michael.

PS Michael in case you cant remember me im the guy who took the pics of your nose in flying at the SRW field In your Gallery is where the pics are.Rest in Peace Roman Jr

Sure I remember you! Thanks for those cool pics of my Freya

On a very cold but blue sky morning..you and I were the only ones at the field, I had one hour to 'get er done' haha before I needed to head off to work. I told you I would get my heli inverted and asked you to take some pics..my first official, low level inverted hovering, it was cold and crisp! but a sweet day. I was just a few feet off the deck..I think you had a nice gasser with the green canopy/ w checkers?

The engines for the larger rocket I'm flying can be bought..if you are certifying..otherwise, you can fly A B C D E F G engines..all day long..no certifying...I have been making all my engines KN03/SU potassium nitrate and sorbitol sugar from scratch..but had to use a commercially available engine for the 'Tripoli Certification' level 1 You can join a local Rocket club and have a 'blast'..lol My club flys Estes type and the type I fly 'High powered' H and above. Interestingly, the club I just joined, does allow Experimental,homemade engines every 3 months or so. It will finally cool off soon I hope in Tampa..lately High 92, low 74..same every day. I want to fly my helis again! Rockets have been my main hobby for some time now, I find it very challenging. I've also been working on an FPV system..where you can fly your model plane, glider, helicopter etc, using goggles on your face only..your view is then from the cockpit, way cool. I'll post some video soon.
