Czynot,
Those servos are fast. What voltage are you running them at and was that going full stroke?

I think rjx are new ( since 2009, could be wrong). Made by Chinese company in china and suppose to be design by German blab blab.
Both set of servo are on same Heli with same setup. Left hand hold phone and right hand stir the full collective as fast as I can. Both running on lipo rx pack.
I can't tell the did difference of speed if I just plug in one of each servo into gyro and stir the stick. I didn't think I was able to tell the speed difference of 0.05s. But video speak for itself.

@david.
I am not saying that coreless or brushless servo never Break. Normal wear&tear underload will wear out the motor. Crash will damage servos.
I am saying servo motor alone will last longer. When servo fail, it is usually due to broken gear, burn out chips and lastly motor. Brushless motor will out last coreless. Coreless still have bushing and they do wear out of time. It will take years of constant running to wear out a bushing. we dont run our heli 24/7.
So this is why i say motor will outlast our heli. Not servo out last our heli. LOL.

You can put both servos on one heli. And do a pitch pump. If it slightly tilting to the left or the right. That's mean the seevo thas tilt is slower.

Correct. Gyro over take the speed on the servo. Swash was level when i did that. Both servo arm look going the same speed.

Only way i see the speed difference was after swapping out all the servos.

Do a direct link to a receiver and use CCPM.

Anyone know what is the best way to step down servo voltage.

I want to run my Torq servo at 8.5v and keep the tail at 6v because i have Align DS650 still in the 6S.
I have the CC BEC PRO and I can use 8.5v into the vbar. But DS650 can not use 8.5v.

I see the step down thing they sell will drop it down to 5.1v.

From my understanding DS650 has no problem running HV. Just run @ 8.0 volts

@jeff.

Ya. i heard DS650 can take higher voltage but i dont think is good or how long before it burn out.

I got may just take 6v from ESC bec directly to feed the tail servo and Use CC bec to power the vbar and cyclic torq at 8.4v. can I? or is it safe to do this way?
This way i dont need to buy a step down device.

Don't you need the negative for the signal to operate correctly for the ESC? I'm not sure. Very interesting.....

It's like you'd have to wire in a small BEC into the tail line. Like this one. Just put connetors on the ends for the tail.

Thx. If I can use the 6v esc bec power? It will save me from adding another device when I don't need it. Yes esc need the ground wire but I can split that.

I know what you are saying. Just use a 3" extension and replace the power lead with the esc BEC power lead. No need to split the ground then...Right?

Come to think of it you can just hard wire it and forget the extension. The loop is closed so yea it will work...

Czynot,
Remember you need to run two (2) leads from the BEC to the FBL controller or one to the receiver to give enough current.

Very interesting wiring of what you want to do. It may work on just tapping the power from the ESC's BEC for the tail and using the signal wire from the controller.

If you did not buy the cc BEC buy the dual voltage BEC from western robotics. You can have 2 different voltage output. One for the tail and the other to the FBL controller.

I have a CC BEC PRO with 2 leads going into the vbar.
I dont see the need to add a stepdown or regulator when i can just use the power from the ESC at 6v.
I have 3 choice really. Get HV tail, get set-down regulator or work with what i have now.

I can set the CC BEC Pro to 8.4v and use the torq servo to the fullest. Keep the DS650 and use the ESC 6v. I can take the Red wire and add a Y-cable to the black.

It should work.
