Plywood is not light. Balsawood for airplane is light. LOL.
That wooden box is atleast over 5lb + 10lb for pelican + 10lb for PSU. I think with everything, that case will be over 40lbs. HAHA

@jeff.

you asking about the RJX if it have helical gear??
If so. I dont know. Dont even know what gears torq have. I am not about to open a brand new servo to find that out.
Didnt think any servo have helical gears. Stright cut gear are stronger.

Tony,
Torq's has helical gears (fist 2 gears). Their claim is that it is more precise. Dave @ anythigheli was talking to me about those. Seem like good servos especially for the price. I saw the replacement gears for them and they are straight cut titanium coated. Good deal! What are you using on the tails?

That case does look heavy. When everything is loaded up including the batteries, better have a back brace and lift with your knees. Lol

Man... can't seem to get rid of that stuff - you can thrash it. I think it was an Esky rate gyro.

RJX - I'll be watching those servos this season to see how they perform - I had them in the cart and I backed out. Spec and price were very good. The only drawback was that they are Coreless vs Brushless (BL)

@ Jeff. I dont think anyone here will buy a servo base on what type of gear it has. As long as it has proven proformence. thats where it matters.

@ David.
Dont really understand coreless or brushless. I am sure brushless will outlast any motor. But who cares. Motors will last longer than our heli. normally something else will go before the motors.
I thought brushless are the fastest and strongest. I dont know how the RJX are faster and stronger than the Torqs.

Tony,
I just wondered thats all... I was highly considering those my self to the point of selling my Torqs before I put them on... The Torqs were a even swap for my other ones... So I can't complain... Curious to see how you like them. Coreless from what I read is faster because of less mass to spin-up. But I agree unless you fly like 300 + a season. You won't notice any wear. Did you get to notice any of the power on your first flight with the 12s?

You cant go wrong with Torq servos. they been around and have proven records. I buy it because i wanted try something new.
I dont think anyone can tell 0.05 seconds diff. we'll see how it is. Look like i got the last 3 combo from HD. HD only have single RJx left.

.....I had an Align (Savox) DS610 go out on my T700 ...after 2 seasons. It would respond but not have power to move the swash under load. Need less to said they are all being replaced on the T700.

....My charging case must be a feather weight it's only 18.5 lbs.

Guys,

That sounds like a charging station bragging rights.

All right guys :

To be fair to all, you must state your weight of the charging station, how many batteries your charging station can charge at once and if your charging in parallel you must state the max power it can provide thru your charger and power supply and over all cost.

Judge it for yourself. Very hard to hold the phone and stir the stick at same time. Sorry for the shaky video.

Czynot,

Thanks for the video... I don't doubt the performance of them.

For me it came down to a cordless vs brushless servo decsion. And I couldn't find much talk nor track record for the RJX.
