Dave,
That's what I was planning on doing. Plus this is mostly training for me so that I know how to properly do the next one. The main challenge is getting the colliders to line up properly.

Stitched Up?
John, Guys,

What am I missing here? Surely you are NOT discussing wound closure here... colliders? New Phoenix field? Phantom helicopters painted into fantasy landscapes?? What are you talking about?

Tony took a bunch of pictures of our field. John is putting them together (stitching up) to create our field in phoenix simulator

stitched up - refers to taking a bunch of photos and stitching together into a panorama

colliders - thats how a boundary or object is defined in a computer environment. the computer needs to know if the user hits object or crosses the collider a defined action takes place. like if user hits area defined as trailer, thats a crash etc.

The photo he posted with the helicopter/w custom canopy and trailer in the background was a screen shot of our field represented in phoenix sim

So am I to understand that you are actually creating our field for Phoenix? Sounds like a big job. When will it be ready? I think a nice touch would be to let other simmers know it's our club field by putting a little easter egg or 2 in there, like having our club letters painted on the trailer?

Either phoenix doesn't allow that or no one's ever thought of doing it, because I've never seen club logo's or abbreviations in the sim. Would be really cool though +1

Phoenix SRW Field
Anyone who wants to try out the field, PM me your email address. I need to share it via Dropbox (90mb).

About this version (1.0)
Stitching was very hard due to the parallaxing of each photo. Really need a new set of photos that rotate around the camera's nodal point near the tip of the lens. I tried to get it as perfect as possible but working with equirectangular projection by hand is VERY difficult. No logos for now. Maybe when I make the spring field.
