Nuroo,
I think fuel tubing may also be good for that just in case the straws don't work out-- I may have some extra I can bring out this weekend.

Thanks Dave! My first hover attempt on collective was exactly on the 8/12/11. I flown coax my entire life though.

On my YouTube page under the browse video section I keep a record on my progression and I actually have the video of my first attempt on collective pitch. It was with a 700 F3C also under the "unlisted playlist" I have about 100 more videos of each stage.

Today was really nice, a little windy, but nothing we couldn't handle. I was at the field early and flew a complete gallon of fuel

Miguel-- great video. You've come a long way since that 8/2011 YT vid. Like a well orchestrated ballet. Choreography would go great with Swan Lake, Act 1, No. 2 Waltz: Tempo di valse, imho. Nice job!

Dave. Thinking hovering is better then thinking stick banging while stucking tubes into the kidneys.

Oiling bearings on motors
I think somebody was wondering how much and when to oil the bearings on the motor.. I found this on the Scorpion site...

Scorpion Motors are built to last, and are backed with a 2-Year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. However, due to the high RPM of these motors, and the fact that we cannot control the installation and setup, the bearings are not covered by the 2-Year warranty, nor is any subsequent damage caused to the motor by a bearing failure. Bearings are a normal wear item, and as such, need to be maintained and changed periodically. For maximum life, make sure that a sufficient gap is left between the pinion and main gear during motor installation to avoid binding, and put a small drop of oil on each bearing every 5-6 flights. It is the responsibility of the pilot to ensure that the bearings are maintained properly.

attached is video for oiling....

Here is where it's in stock

http://www.experiencerc.com/store/s...tion-p-759.html

Even your main bearings need to be maintenance. Some like grease and some like oil.

Pro and con
Oil easy to drop in and easy to spin out. Less drag.
Grease need to remove bearing and pack the grease in. Will last longer because it's harder to spin out. Will create a little more drag.

Pick your poison .
