from a chicken dance, left me with the engine, muffler, one side frame, the tail box, servos, and half the head.

Cheaper to buy another kit.

Pretty much wrote off a Blade CP Pro in a single "landing". I figure if I can get the Bell-Hiller head off the bent main shaft without damaging it, then I can buy the replacement Blade airframe for about $100 and move the parts over to that.

Otherwise I'm out the cost of a BH head as well

Not bad for a $200 helicopter.

$650.00 on a $1,000 heli kit. Blew every derelin gear, boom, all three shafts, sevro tray, bearings, canopy (Arizona Heli), blades, blade grips, clutch, clutch bell, battery, and more little stuff. It all added up to a lot.

The frames were or, bearing blocks ok, landing gear ok.

So that's the most expensive so far.

Most expensive week, 3 helis.

One still has a nasty wobble.

My Xcell had a Mid-Air with a plank, nothing much worth saving lost
about £700 and that was a few years ago now.
Also blade failure at about 200ft Xcell 60 not much left of that one, another £600.

Wow, some decent expenditures here!
My worse THIS year was at our FF while taking a lesson with CY.
Total cost was just under $300.

I'm not sure what really bakes my noodle more: The fact that I had just rebuilt the machine for the FF and put BRAND NEW curtis blades on, or that the heli never actually left the ground!

A freak occurance with the buddy system ended up reversing elevator and pitch after it was bench tested ok (complicated story, but rest assured it wasn't completely idiotic). Spooling up, it started to lean back, like the tail fin was stuck in some grass. So, big clever me punches up with a little forward cyclic, which ended up pushing down with a lot of back cyclic. All this at 2000 rpm didn't have a pretty ending...

The tail assembly remains were found across the field later that day.

As always, had my Hawk Pro flying real nice. Lost power to the rotor while inverted (long story). Broke pretty much everything, couldn't get the muffler off the engine it had wedged in and broken stuff so bad. Over $500 total I suppose but who's counting.

Got Money? Send it to me, I'm a Heli Addict.

Oh, or it could have been my Raven when I blew the engine in it. Naw that was only about $400, it just ended up being over $500 cause I figured I needed a new kit as well.

Ouch, that hurts. I suppose that is one good thing about electrics, a dead battery can't fly away on you!

Rape:
a plant, Brassica napus, of the mustard family, whose leaves are used for food for hogs, sheep, etc., and whose seeds yield rape oil.

There you go, mate.
