first I'm going to use futaba 401/9254 on tail then 9252 on everything else except throttle.. that's the first question what is a good throttler servo.. and can I mix digital and analog servos.. I have a few 3004's 3003's and digital 3151's I don't see the need for high speed on throttle.

next I got frame bracing coming from ricks.. anyone got pic's that I can see exactly where they are to be installed.

next the collective pitch shaft is stripped out on 1 side .. from what I can figure out , I can replace this without splitting frame.

ricks list 2 muscle pipe for evo 50
MUSCLEPIPE50 or MUSCLEPIPE50L what the difference .. and are there any other mufflers that will for .. I don't need the fastest thing in the field. will most likely have more power than I'' ever need anyway.. I want something that is not to loud..

how many of you run ppm instead of PC receivers.. i was thinking about a futaba 168 since they are supposed to have less interference now.. ( better than the old standby 127's) or I could get a 138pcm

main blades .. I got some V 3d blades that will work but i think I want something different as I still am not going to be doing 3d.. recommendations

thanks Hank AKA ket

You can run pretty much anything on the throttle.

The low rpm range muscle pipe has been discontinued and mp2 "quiet" just means quieter than the original, they still make a racket, the Hatori SB50 costs more but it doesnt require 17000rpm (1950 head on evo) to get it tuned right.

Thunder Tiger 600's are fine until you get into more advanced flying you wont be able to tell the difference.

and more questions plus some babble

On my Hawk pro I dont use a Gov. is the Gv-1 a good governor,

I guess I will go with digital 3151 on throttle then and stay all digital... will see if I can find some Thunder Tiger 600's in CF. and buy another futaba 138 pcm receiver unless there is something better out there now days. with futaba all new releases on RX's maybe A 149 would be better?

am I correct that collective pitch shaft can be removed without splitting frame..

also is there a tool out there to re grease bearings? I use tri flow on bushings but dont some of the bearings get or can be repacked

best thing is I've been sell all my plank stuff and have not had to dig into pocket to buy anything..

battery pack thinking nimh around 2200-2500 mah should do in 4.8v is that big enough.

it took me 9months to build and finish Trex 450X ( first heli )and hard to fly , glad its gone

took about 3-1/2 months to build and finish and hover ( I flew it before trex). Hovered right away.

I dont thin it will take a month to have evo 50 in air ( weather permitting ) and that because of parts that need replaced. MY Fear now is I wont be able to stop .. I think I had 15 planks in the hanger when I said lets try heli's.. will it be the same wanting at least 2 scale models got to have a bell 47 in mash colors. and a
UH-1B OLIVE DRAB just because I can relate to it.

There's a tool called the Greaser thats perfect for greasing bearings, check with Ricks, http://www.ronlund.com apparently they go pretty fast when they get a shipment in. A place called Pete's RC makes them but his web site was down last week.

The GV1 is ok, its got some neat bells and whistles. I prefer the CSMs like the RL20, it supports digital servos (the gv1 will use them but you dont have a high frame rate mode like the csms), it will run in either rev limiter mode or governor mode and its smaller and half the price.

I've had all the governors, and so far, I like the new Youngblood governor the best. It locks right in, and doesn't seem to waver at all with engine tuning like the CSM did, which was my favorite before the Youngblood ATG.
