sounds like one is the hover pitch and the other is the pitch-to-throttle ratio. Keeping them both close to centered is probably the best thing to do.The Ground is Your Enemy..... Avoid it at All Costs....

Pitch to throttle ratio is the correct answer. I disconnected the motor and experimented, in full negative the pitch barely changes with throttle movement, the opposite effect with full positive.

Thanks for your help! Keeping both centered when adjusting the rotor pitch.
