Does anyone have pics on how they built this with the 45 degree gear box? The directions are not very good.

I just finished the Century Hughes 500D and I had to make a few modifications in order to make it work.

I think I am going to use the 60 size predator mechanics.

Thanks for any help

Vern

The tail drive system using the 45 degree gear box. It looks like you still use the flex drive cable with the gear box. But it also looks like I would have to modify the tail formers.

if you use the flex drive, the gearbox wont be necessary, you just have to make a very gradual and round bend. if you use the predator mechs, the flexdrive is pretty much your only option. i rarely use the woodwork that comes with fuses because i always manage to use mechs or components different from what they cut the wood for so that is almost a given making your own formers. a tip, i cut former templates from cardboard to shape and modify as necessary before i cut it from wood. makes life easier.

Hey emile!... not sure if you are familiar with this nice gadget, works great if you have a halved fuse and need to make formers...It is a tool for linoleum/carpet etc. you put it around door trim and such and retains the shape of the doorways and trim, works great for scale stuff!

No not really but it is a bunch of small stiff wires that slide in a clamp , they can usually be had at ace hardware or biglots. ken

Yeah! thats it! although mine has metal wires but the plastic ones would be kinder to the fuse. ken

UHB1 w/ Predator Gasser
Hi,

I just finished installing predator Gasser mechanics in a Century Fuselage. If you go to the SRW website (http://www.flySRW.com) you will find my complete set of instructions posted there.
