New to a Logo, just treated myself!
Not new to helis.I am flying some 14 cell GP 3300's i have already.
How does one balance, say, a 3700 4S bat.without it going right up to the front of the canopy? It would be resting on fresh air...
The round cells feel heavy, but ok for the moment, but will be going to lipos soon.A 4S 400gram bat.would be nice.
Nice heli,by the way,far superior to my Swift electric.

Hello and congratulations on your new Logo

I think the guys flying with 4S packs usually have bigger packs - more like 6000 or 8000 mah's. These will be heavier and help get the CG right. There is also a CF battery tray extension available for the L10 (if you dont all ready have it) that makes it possible to move the pack forward.

You need the carbon fibre support that extends forwards, then with appropriate bands and velcro you can secure it where you need to.

Yes, there is a battery support #04007 that comes with the L10 3D and an optional, longer one #4000. Also, I taped the carbon support plate #2782 to the battery pack which gives support to the pack. Joe..

It comes with the deluxe kit from FXAeromodels too, $219 total...but you can buy the battery extension seperately. You still will have to put the pack pretty far forward to balance it, but should be able to stay inside the canopy. I put a 3000ma 5s pack on the extension tray and it worked fine.

Thanks for the advise,i am just a bit concerned about the 'stiffness','solid'feel of the whole frame with the batt.so far forward, vibration etc.?
Do you guys get vibes from your setups? as my 14 round cells setup is as smooth as it could be.
I have several packs of 600g.6S packs from my Swift which i could also use.Using a Neu 1907 1.5y motor.
Is the extended batt.mount part the same width as the frame width i.e. round cell width?

If you have to much problems and know how to make up your own packs just make up some hump packs so you don't have to push them to far forward . You can double up the last three so you have six doubled and eight single that will shorten the pack and move the weight around . So you should be able to get your CG a little easier . I hope you understood that . I have some brand new 12 cell 3700 MaH hump packs if you are in the market to buy a couple . Let me know these are new and don't even have ends on them . Good Luck .

I think he was looking for Lipos.

The battery extension is slightly wider than the plastic frame, so anything that fits inside the frame would fit in the extension. The CF goes on the outside of the plastic frame, so it is wider by the width of the sides of the frame. As far as vibes go, I use mine for AP and it is very smooth.

Thanks again.I am trying to use what bats.i have for the time being.
The bat.tray dimensions sound good for what i have in 6S packs.
It seems a shame not to use them.6S 4750mah packs times 2.They would be 300g lighter than a 14 round cell pack.
Would the voltage,6S, be ok with my Jazz 55-6-18 esc.?

That should be a good setup. I understand using the batts you have. These Lipos are expensive! I use a Jazz 40-6-18 with 5s and it works great. I haven't had any probs with it, but I will probably get a larger ESC some day.

You should have no probs using the Jazz 55...

Let us know how it works!

anything more than 6s4a will make the logo 10 head heavy, I run 7s set up .. buy my loose 20c4000mah cells at maxamp, build it onto 7s1pack long . it make the balance job a flash. easy mount with or without cf battery support.

Hi,well the bat.extension tray was 2mm too narrow for my lipo packs. So i made one from some carbon sheeting and it works a treat.
I rearanged my 4750 6S packs into 2 longish packs. And remembered i had 2 packs of Emolis untouched from last summer, looking for a home.
I turned one into another longish 6S pack.
With the bad weather here in the UK,i go to a sports hall to practise my slow scale like circuits.I put a 16 pinion on which gave me a nice slow 1500 'ish HS,ideal for indoors.
Crikey, run times were about 11-12 ,mins.on the Molis and over 15 mins from the 4750 packs!I was seeing double any longer than 15 mins!
The packs came down barely warm and the Jazz esc.stone cold.Even the Neumotor wasnt hot.My reckoning, less than 15 amps?
Zero bogging too, utter constant HS the whole flights.
Somehow,i dont think i'll be going back to 14 round cells!
Good stuff......
