About how much does it cost (roughly) to put together a 90 size nitro heli with good equipment (not nessecarily top of the line)?? (including electronics, engine, etc.)
There's no way I could afford one anytime soon, but I am curious.
And one more thing while I'm at it: How much faster does it burn nitro than a 30 or 50?

I would plan on around 2000-3200 if you are buying new equipment. As for fuel. You get about 6-8 flights out of a gallon of fuel. 90's are THIRSTY machines.

Are you sure that you've not underestimated that figure a little - the last time I added up the cost of my Raptor 50 I got very close to that figure - and it hasn't got much in the way of bling either !

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

Got 9 helis' in the living room .Total , somewhere around $18,000. Still fly the 30's and 50's more than anything. Crash cost on the 60's and 90s' is too severe. Flight times run 7 to 10 mins, cause I am to cautious.

Honey, where's the check book, it's Fedex again

Hmmm, apparently, I'm the only one here who's not a millionaire.

If I had $18k worth of helis, my wife would crucify me for Christmas. But maybe that's just a matter of how long I've been into it?

It seems like this hobby is really a money pit. You can have some pretty pimp-tastic planes for the price of one decent 'copter. They seem to crash less often too.
