Does Airtronics 94758 fit in The vibe 90? I mean that these servos are a little bigger then the futaba ones?

They should fit just fine. As I have a friend that has them in his Vibe. No issues with the fit. Also I know that the JR Z9000 is a popular servo as well. And I believe the dimensions are the same. As about everthing else is the same. With exception of the 3 year warranty that comes with the JR servos.

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

Brian,

When I stopped by the shop there in OK City, Jerry told me about the warranty on the JR servos. Pretty amazing. He also said he's had a couple of 94758s fail on him. Knock on wood I haven't had any fail on me.

Makes you want to go out and buy a JR servo or two.

Yep, I have seen at least 3 fail the same way as Jerry's. Hence why I suggested the JR servos. Airtronics wants $20 a pop to exchange the failed servos. JR or should I say Horizon wants nothing. Seals the deal for me.

Hi,

No, the airtronics are too thick. You can put them in the Vibe, but you have to use small metal plates.
And just what Brian, airtronic servos can fail. I had two airtronic servos with that problem.

JR servos will fit right from the box and are absolutly great!

I hope this helps,
Nando

The 94758 is about 2mm deeper than other servos; to make them work in my Vibe I used 1mm delrin washers between the servos and the frame; this will give a small gap between the servo cases for airflow. The biggest change is with the elevator servo; to keep a straight pull to the bellcrank, this servo needs mounted on the inside of the frame [creative shimming required], and the Airtronics arm will need shaved a bit to clear the aileron servo mount beneath it. The 94758's are working great, but if I have ever have one fail, I'm going to switch to the JR's. -Adam
