Guys I ordered a metal tail gearbox from RC market last sunday and I feel like a kid waiting for christmas, I have even gone ahead and shortened the tube drive shaft on my cuatro How long does it take to receive the goods, I spoke to Alex and he said that it was posted via airmail on tuesday. For such a small package who would be handling that over here in the UK?

Cheers guys.

Royal mail will likely handle it if it went normal post. Just thank your lucky stars it isnt Parcel Farce, royal mail are much better, well they are in my area anyway.

VAT?
I thought that purchases from the EU were exempt from import duty?

Sh1t, Royal Mail! I have had recorded items to myself go missing as the postman can't be bothered to ask for a signature - he just shoves it in the letter box.

Hi

Yes your right there should be no reason for it to go anywhere near customs.
2 to 3 days should be about right from Europe so you should have it soon, just in time to watch the trees go past your window tomorrow, should be better on Sunday though:-)

Cheers

Hi Bob, hows the turbine cuatro running? I am considering getting a conversion myself but at the momment I can't decide between the Bling SPH5 kerostart or the more customer freindly Wren.

Usually my orders from RcMarket take around 2-3 working days to arrive to Portugal (+1 or 2 days to get at my door). Alex usually ships per EMS so you can ask for a tracking number and follow the package. If the number doesn't show up on RoyalMail, you can try here:
http://etracker.emstaxipost.be/index.asp?lang=gb

Mines always appear there first.

Alex usually gets things up north here in two days

As far as I am aware any purchases in the EU are free of import taxes etc

There is no VAT or customs regarding to goods aquired in the EU. Thats what makes this all beautiful

About the tracking number, I don't know. Try to ask him again? I suppose its christmas season already and with tons of shippments he doesn't keep track.

Shipping
Conair

Packages are arriving on time, sometimes post is little slower, depends on Holidays, Bank Hol, and so on..

Service of EMS is too expensive for package which is less then 2kg..
otherwise charge is too much, and post handling the packages quicker then EMS, since less registration points to pass throw.

You should get your stuff, and you will.. Just little patience

Hi Alex,
I hope so, your metal tail gear box looks like a real work of art, much more attractive in the pictures than the robbe unit. I hope that I get to play with it soon!

Gearbox
It is an art work, and what is more attractive, it is more precised and Lighter then plastic stock one..
It use different pinions then Robbe, and they are much smoother

Sorry, off topic
ConAir, I like your signature altho you could amend it to read:

the cooks are French,
the mechanics are German,
the Italians are the lovers,
and the administrators are Swiss.

In Hell:

the Swiss are the lovers,
and the administrators are Italian.

I have not seen the JetCat powered one for a couple of years now:-(
The Wren powered version with the "Remove before flight" conversion on it is going well, it's not as refinded as the JetCat but has plenty of power.

I received my order this morning
Although an invoice would have been nice! The gear box is very nice but I found the original robbe tail pitch slider to be silky smooth in comparison to this version but all in all I am happy.

Karsten,
Thanks for the offer but I would prefer to buy brand new and crash it myself

Cheers guys
