I mostly need to know what would be a good motor, I have been using a reflex sim for almost a year now so I need one that is a good beginner motor and is going to give me a good balance between flight time, performance, and quality. Any suggestions would be helpful. I will figure out what radio and charger to get at another time but if there is anything else that I should be thinking of please let me know.

Thanks,
Seth

For the motor I would recommend a Medusa 28-032-3400

Is there any reason other than price you picked the XL model. You can get the SA model for 290. and it will have the motor and ESC with it?

Tom..... No "D" flying....

Hi Seth,

I didnt spot a transmitter in your list..

You may find one of those, will make it easier to fly.

You can get the TP extremes for under $70 with free shipping if you look hard.

I have both 450SE and 450XL. knowing what I know now I would go for the SA or SE - better with the direct ccpm and they do fly a lot crisper.
Dont get me wrong xl is better than most of the all plastic choppers, but its just not as good as the SA or SE.

Go for the SA.

Bump your three HS56 servos up to the HS65s.

I'm working on my list today, too.

Chiefaircraft.com has the se kit with 401/9650,hitec 65 metal gears for 690.00. This does come with the align motor and esc. This seems like a good price to me .http://www.chiefaircraft.com/rcmsec...ex450SEBLK.html

Send a PM to Modefo's Heli and ask him for a "combo" proce on what you want. Wes usually is able to give you a great deal on custom combos!

Seth the combo deal is where you tell him what you want and he'll give you a better price for a complete heli system to your order.... It can't hurt to check it out...

Yup, Wes at Modefo's will put a combo together for you on the spot, put it up on his website, and you can order it instantly with a few mouse clicks.

Good service.
