Start w/an empty gal. fuel jug, add 1 quart cheap rubbing alcohol, about 3 oz. of any liquid dishwashing soap, & the rest is water. Fill a spray bottle w/the mix & it will clean as good as anything commercially available.

If you use Alcahol, use 80%. I have seen the 50% or 60% turn the plastic kinda white.

i draw a nice warm soapy bath and throw in the entire deal, i make sure the lipo is fully charged and power turned on though, this way when everything shakes around as i drown the heli, every bit of dirt gets out. some people ask me if i'm worried about water getting in the motor and rusting the bearing, but....that hasn't happened yet.

What ever you do, do not use Safegreen on aluminum, I have seen that stuff pit an engine and really make it look like *&^%. A&P's have told us not to use it to clean the oil off any of the aluminum parts when we change oil on the 182.

baby wipes
hehehe, i could picture that now...

rolling the heli upside downs, pulling out the baby wipe....and mopping up the nice brown mess the engine left on the back side of the heli.
then pumping it full of fluid to it can pump out the brown mess all over again...
