i am having problems cycling my batteries, and also have a couple qustions with this charger.

When discharging the charger shutsoff due to low battery voltage. And it shuts off before all the mah is drained. The cell count and battery type is correct. Any suggestions why this is happening?

also, should i be charging the pack at 100% capacity or higher? I dont understand how you could charge higher then 100%. An explanation would be great.

For example i am using a 5-cell 2400 mah nicad.
my settings are as follows
chg current - 2.0 amp
dsch current - 2.0 amp
peak sensitivity - 8mv/c (i have know idea what this means)
dsch cutoff - .9v/c
trickle ma - 50 mah
cutoff temp - 120 degrees
# of cycles - 1
cycle delay - 3 min
cycle mode - d>c
Max. chg. capacity - 150% (not sure where this should be, please advise)
Peak delay - 3 min

Lastly what does batt. res measured in ohms mean?

Peak Sensitivty - when the battery charges the voltage increases. When the battery is fully charged, the cell voltage begins a slight decline. This 'Delta Peak" is what the charger uses to detect a full charge. The voltage limit to trigger the end of charge is the 8mv/c or 8 millivolts per cell.
Max Ch Cap - this is a backup to the Delta Peak detection. In case the peak sensitivity is set too low and the charger misses the volt drop and continues to charge, it will charge to a max percentage of the set battery capacity. In this case, 150% of 2400mah. So the charger will stop if 3600mah are put into the battery. Prevents the battery from exploding due to overcharge. Usually 120% is good.
Battery Resistance in Ohms. - each cell has a certain internal resistance. Small AA batteries have much larger resistance than C cells. The smaller the resistance the more current the cell can provide. That's why AA are limited to 5 amps and C batteries to over 40 amps discharge.
