Hey everyone this is my first post. I have been practicing on G2 for about a year now and finally thought I was ready to get a real helicopter.

I could not have been happier with the CP Pro with minor adjustments out of the box I was able to hover it in a small spot in my living about 8' X 8'.

I would like to say this is an awesome site. There is a huge wealth of information here. I didn't even have to post any questions because at some point its been covered.

Unfortunatly I have to work tonight, so I guess i'll be able to play with the CP tommorow.

Goodnite
Nate

Way to go Nate! Welcome to the party. The fun is just beginning. I won't even bother telling you about all the sites to visit, the things to read, and the bits of wisdom we all have learned in the process, as you probably know all that already.

Congrats, sweet dreams (about hovering), and good luck tomorrow!!

Looks like you started off right. My first hover with the Pro would not have worked out well indoors, it came "right out of the box" very poorly trimmed and a defective servo. Good luck, I'm sure we'll see you around.

Well I'm stuffed, I ate Thanksgiving Dinner at three different places. I just finished flying the CP. It needs to stop raining so that I can take it outside.

Funny you mention the defective servo. When I went to my LHS to pick up my first CP Pro, I asked the owner if he could trim it for me. Upon starting it we found that one of the servos were bad and it happened to be the last one he had in stock, so I had to wait a couple of days.
The second one worked perfect, we tested it in the store and I took it home and trimmed it and the helicopter worked pretty good.

I actually do have one question, I only have 1 battery which is getting pretty frustrating. I saw on heliproz.com this battery http://www4.mailordercentral.com/he...p?number=144620.THP9103SJPL LiPo Pack 11.1v 910 mah 3 cell, Blade CP Etc. The mah rating is higher, will this work with the blade cp pro? Will it last longer?
Also I know that with lipo batteries, you must charge them slow, but is there a charger that I could purchase that will allow me to charge the battery quicker?

Happy Thanksgiving
Thanks for the comments
Nate

One more question, I know that the radio that the CP comes with isn't programable, and it does not have any type of EPA, but I do notice that I am getting alot of strain on the servos when I go to any extreme with the right stick. I can physically see the servos bend the plastic that it sits on slightly. Is there anything I can do to minimize this?

Congrats on the hover, that speaks volumes about your discipline on the sim.

Many chargers will allow you to set the charge current over 1C. Check with the battery manufacturer to see if the battery can handle the faster charge.

Yes a 910 will work and give you longer flight times. But you should not charge it at more than 1.0 amp but for longer life 0.9 amp is preffered.
