I'm trying to get to the bottom of what really happened.
It was Muslim Extremists who caused the events of that day and nothing more. The planes hit. The fuel burned. The steel weakened in the heat and then the buildings collapsed.

With all due respect, all other considerations and opinions about that day are speculations only and not worth wasting time over -- in my humble opinion.

The government gives us a false sense of security. Look at how easy it was for Marc Ecko (owner of the Ecko Unlimited clothing line) to gain access to Air Force One, supposedly the MOST SECURE aircraft in the United States.
http://www.flurl.com/item/Marc_Ecko...e_One_u_128070/
If Marc could do it with such ease, what about someone else with worse intentions like sabotaging the aircraft? And if that is supposed to be the most secure aircraft in the U.S., how much LESS secure is everything else? Mind you, that video was shot post-9/11.
Wow you are the dumbest kid on earth. Do you check out any of this crap before you just jump into it face first?

So begins the catalyst for Bush to invade and occupy Iraq ...
The demoncrats are in power now and they have a plan they say. Won't say what it is but they have one because they say it.
So begins Bush's plans of a swift elimination of terrorists and a smooth installment of an American democracy forced down the throat of Iraq.

He sure had everyone fooled... and continues to do so...

I believe Bush was a better magician than a politician hands down.

... But honey it was only $$$

Take a stack of Jenga blocks and pull out a bunch of blocks on the left side about a third of the way down
Buildings don't fall like Jenga blocks. There are completely different forces involved.
Have we regressed to the point that our buildings are that weak. ?????
A B-25, that weighs roughly 30k lbs, traveling at 200 mph has just a tad less kinetic energy than a B767, that grosses out at 407k lbs, traveling at 500+ mph. Not to mention the 55-60k lbs of fuel the B767 is carrying can produce one hell of a fire.

I know I'm not going to convince either of you that the attacks were made solely by terrorists. However, y'all really need to take some physics classes. Yes, an airliner can take out a skyscraper.
Even Norad, couldn't find the planes.
Norad cannot find 4 airplanes, and they are our first line of defense against air attack.
Unless you were flying that day, you have no idea how bad the confusion was. With all due respect, statements about Norad loosing planes is, frankly, ignorant.

True, but granted that the support structures on only one side were blown out, which way would it have fallen?.... simple laws of gravity tell us that the portion of the building above the impact would fall towards the weaker side of the building.

110 stories and 1 plane per building, loads of paper, office equipment/furniture, structural support, air conditioning, plumbing systems.... all contributing to the weight of the entire structure. I have an idea.

I would have thought the weight of WTC1 and WTC2 hitting the ground would create a substantial shock wave. I dont see how you can say this wouldn't have caused damage to the foundations of nearby buildings. The subsequent collapse of WTC7 does not surprise me at all.

In fact, during WW2, didn't they develop an "earthquake bomb" that was designed to destroy hardened bunkers by creating an underground shock wave?

Also, on video of the second plane hitting it seems that the fireball exits the other side of the building from where the plane hit. To me this suggests the fire engulfed entire floors of the building immediately, not just one side. So even heating and a uniform collapse does not seem that surprising.

I just dont see the evidence to suggest this happened in a way different than generally reported.

Trex if you can find a physicist or structural engineer who can support your hypothesis, I will buy you a new helicopter for Christmas.

Jimco, yeah, it gets me thinking. I wonder what the guys are smoking who come up with that crap.

What amazes me, the the ones that write it are not just bloggers.
Also, the way it unfolded, is really wierd. How did the hijackers know to do it on 9/11, while we were holding war games, depicting the same scenario.
What was FEMA DOING, setting up a command center the day before. Way Rudy told to evacuate his command center because the towers were fixing to come down. No such building in history had ever fallen, with such minor impact and fire. Especially in less than 2 hours.
Really strange stuff.
Why did Bush continue to entertain the kids, for 30 minutes after the first tower attack, without scrambling the Air Force.
Smell kinda strange.

What do you consider a major impact? There were some serious forces involved there.

I'll respond to the rest of your comments later. I gotta go put on my fat man pants and get on the road. Enjoy the feast boys!

Kong: When they were built, they were supposed to be redundant enough to stand the impact of a 707 jet. Now after reading some engineer reports this morning, I can see why they would collapse. It amounts to , sub-standard construction. They were completely new concept construction, and they did well, as long as they were not disturbed. Due to the center support column construction and outside support walls, when they started down, it was like sliding down a flag pole. That I can understand.
Now to the main subject, how in the world , in the most heavily defended air space in the world and on exactly the same day that we are playing war games, did this thing happen??????

Unexplanables

Many have been wondering the same thing since it happened, along with some other not-so-far-fetched incidents surround the towers and 9/11.

It's horrific and unexplanable at the same time.

... But honey it was only $$$
