I am going to upgrade the batteries on my 90 with lipos.

I decided to go with the Fromeco Peerless 4800 pack and the Arizona regulator. I am also thinking to use the pin & flag switch but Fromeco site is not very clear on few thinks so I need some help.

The pin & flag switch that I need for the Arizona regulator is the badger switch or something else because the switch that is shown in the picture of the regulator is different than the badger switches.

Also in the knowledge base of Fromeco site there is a reference in upgrade kit for the wires because the standard JR plugs might not be enough for the current drain of a 90. What exactly is this and where can I find them in Fromeco site?

The switch required for the Arizona reg setup is purely an on/off contact switch, however the switch needs to be closed to turn the power off - hence its failsafe since if the switch fails, it'll fail open and leave everything powered up. The pin/flag system is just a different way of providing the break/no break condition. I used my existing switches and did some soldering. The badger switch is not needed, the Arizona reg simply provides a JR style plug to connect to a standard switch - short the connection to turn the power off.

The JR plugs provided on the arizona are up to the job, there are two of them plugging into the receiver to provide power so don't be fooled by the relative small size of the wiring. The upgrade wiring option is on the input side that connects to the battery - I went for the upgraded wiring with Deans connectors. The peerless packs come with one set heavy duty with Deans taht connects to the Arizona, and a spare JR fly lead for charging or checking battery condition (which you can also do via a lead from the reg)

Thanks for the info. I want to use the pin & flag system. So where do I find this switch that plugs into the yellow plug?

Go here
http://www.fromeco.org/shop/shopdis...izona+Regulator

There is the option to add the pin/flag upgrade at $7.50, in addition to the "wiring upgrade 16AWG with Deans $4.50"

Hi SPB,
Just so your aware of it, Fromeco cells are Lithium cells but they are not Lipo cells(lithium-polymer), they are actually the Li-On(lithium-ion). You could say their related chemistries but there are differences, one being Li-ons are round or cylindrical cells and Li-po's are flat cells. Also, Li-on cells are more stable/durable than Li-po cells. Heres a link to help ya out: http://www.fromeco.org/shop/apeerlessadvantage.htm
