Hi, I have a Hyperion 50 amp esc that needs repair. Can it be repaired or trash it? Where can I get it fixed?
Thanks,
Tony

Most likely it can't be repaired. How old is it? You may be able to get a replacement from the shop you bought it from. Hyperion also has a deal where you might be able to purchase a new one at a discount if it's not still under warranty.

Warranty
Hyperion Titan brushless speed controllers are fully guaranteed against defects in material or workmanship for 12 months from date of purchase. The warranty does NOT cover damage to reverse-polarity connection of the battery, water or crash damage, nor any other claim not arising from a defect in materials or assembly. You must contact your selling dealer with details of the problem before making a return. In most cases, the problem is an issue with radio or controller setup, and can easily be resolved at no expense to you. Controllers returned without notice in which defects are not found will only be returned to the sender at his expense.

Crash, water, or reverse-polarity damaged Hyperion Titan ESC may be exchanged with your seller for a 40% discount on new replacement.

Many Happy Flights!

Most of the time if a crash or similar pilot behavior caused the problem it's just a matter of replacing the drivers. I do these all the time. I have never done that particular ESC but if it comes apart and if the replacement chips are available, it's not terribly difficult. To replace all the FETs in a brushless ESC (probably 12 of them in yours) usually costs no more than $15-$30 in parts. I guess it depends on how good a deal 40% off is.

If you can't get a trade-in for it, I'm sure you can find someone to fix it.
