I have been an XTR flyer for about a year now and with my old PC I never had 249 fps. (More like 79 fps) I now have a Dell with a Core2 Duo with 2 gig ram and a Radeon X1300PRO card. Flying is a dream now.

Hello ,

I never get more then 75fps ???
No matter what resolution , never more then 75.
The max. settings in simulation parameters is 500 !

My computer ;

AMD X2 4200+ ( dual core ) with 1GB ram
ATI Radeon X1900 GT graphics card (256MB DDR3).

I would say that's enough , right ???

Thx ,

Luke

I would think so. Is your monitor fitted with a digital connection or the old VGA? Maybe that might have something to do with it.

Hello AV8TOR,

My monitor (HP vs19e 19-inch LCD-monitor) is fitted with the digital connector. (this graphics card have 2 of this connectors).
Maybe you have a point and is the monitor the cause
I still have an old 17" crt monitor , i will try it !

Thx

Luke (from belgium)

Hi digger123 ,

What i did , in the catalyst control center :
Wait for vertical refresh , slider max to the left !
= always off = max performance.
Restart the PC ..... i see no difference , still 75fps.

any other solutions ?

Luke

I rather run it with V-Sync on rather then off, at least for LCD screens.
Much smoother overall (when it matches sync of the monitor)

u only need to untick v sync if you need a performance gain on a older slower pc.also try running your display at 16 bit colour rather then 32 this will give you more performance with hardly any difference on the display.
