What do you guys suggest for a pipe to go on a OS 91 SX-H Cspec w/pump. I have a new Evo 90 that this motor is going in and i am undecided on what pipe to put on it. I was going to get the CY MP-II but i have been told that the motor is hard to tune with that pipe and that i should get the Hatori or Funkey. Any other ideas?

I have that exact set up. I went with the Hatori. Loads of power you won't be disappointed. I've never run it with a MP2, but everyone I talked to said the Hatori was the best way to go. Also, I changed out the gearing and went with the 7:92...it seems to get the Cspec into its "happy place" more so than the 8:45.

Hatori 938 is certainly the hot pipe to use
7.92 is great for the OS
but you do need an upstairs headspeed to make it work good
like over 1900

Hallo,

the long version of Hatori 938, it let the engine runs less hot, with more power, easy to tune, than with, for example, MP II or Webra Magic Pipe.

The new longer version of the 938 is marked on the box with "SZ".

91 c-spec. with viperhead / gearing is 8,0:1 / Headspeed around 1.940 revs / 20% Nitro / 18% Oil / 2x Enya 3 Plugs / 0.3 Shim

Hatori 938, or SB-17 or SB-018. I use the 938 with 15% nitro and it gives good power, is easy to tune and quiet. 938 is also cheaper than the SB series (can't easily get SB series in the UK)

91 Cspec and pipe
I see that you guys are running 15&20% nitro in the 91's. Is 30% to much for it. I run either Cool Power or Magnum 30% in my 30 and 50's with no problem. With the 91 being a more less big bore motor does it not need the extra nitro.

30% isn't too much at all - depends on how much power you need. Using higher nitro also means shorter flight times as the engine is run richer. I find 15% gives me adequate power.
