I have both the Neu 1107-2Y and the Medusa 28-32-2800 and fly them on 4S. Both motors are great and give me a head speed of around 3180 on 9t Neu and 11t Medusa. I think that the Neu is quite a bit more powerful and has a lower power amp/volt draw on the battery and is by far much cooler on all temps (motor, speed controller and battery). The Neu and Medusa are almost the same weight when you add the Medusa heat sink .. at least within about 4 grams. Either motor is an absolute powerhouse!

But the only problem with the Neu is it is very hard on main gears with the 9t pinion.

Is anybody using a 10t pinion on the Neu.... and does anybody run a head speed in the 3450 range?

Do it, go on, please... and take lots of videos while you're at it.

I've certainly heard of people running at 3200... what's another couple of hundred RPM?

Test from behind firm cover?

I was running the Neu 1107/2Y with a 9 tooth pinion on 4S (TP2070). I use the micro heli tx4102 (green) main gears without a problem.

I switched over to the Medusa 32-28-3400 with a 10 tooth pinion. More power than the NEU but not as effecient. 3450 HS must be crazy power.
