I'm finding the best way for me it to fly out forwards and then back towards yourself and then keep going past yourself, its all in learning the new orientation

Same as driving a car backwards, look over your shoulder. Right is right and left is left, no change.

The major difference that fouled me up early on was pushing the nose down to carve the turn, rather than pulling the nose up. So you're going into the turn---tilt, keep the tail in line with the turn, and push the nose down to carve. That's upright, obviously.

It was tough for a bit, I was surprised to find too. Part of it is that you get used to always going forward---and you can dumb thumb this one even when you know how so early on I really had to concentrate. And a dumb thumb is a quick disaster on this one--pull-up on the nose and it's in the dirt.

Hope that helps,
Tom

Stand in the center of the field and fly (backwards) the chopper around you. Turn your body with the chopper to keep it in front of you. this will give you a goo feel of your input as it moving at a good speed.
CAREFUL NOT TO GET DIZZY
