Hey I was curious to see some thoughts about the xrb carbon blades. Are they good for speed and more crash proof like people say? Would you buy them or does anyone here have some. Thanks for the info.

It does make it a bit more squirrely and sensitive since they are stiffer. They probably will be more crash resistant as long as you shut down the rotors before you hit anything hard as I can see them breaking easily or splintering at full speed into say, the leg of a chair. I used a pair of another brand lama blades that were made out of stiff plastic on the xrb and it definetly became less stable.

I perform precision manuevers called crashes.

I have the carbon, I think the point is, that you just break something else than the blades, if they are carbon, I don't know if this saves money, especially on furniture side. But definitely it feels more responsive (but not necessarily faster), but less stable - it seems, that the foamies (actually picknick knives if you like) bend in a way, that it kind of even returns to normal position letting go the sticks centering, and that does not happen with carbon. Anyway once one becomes more experienced, I would not miss them anymore.

I went with a set of Star Flight blades. So far I love them. The foamies just don't last(even in non-crash mode). I'd get few flights on them and they would start to bend just from load. Yes I did the packing tape mod.

I like to call them flying picnic plates
