Got my used Trex 450 SE.

Everything is now installed - servos work perfectly.

HOWEVER, Motor wont spin up and I cannot get any beeps to get into program mode on the Align ESC.

When I plug in the battery - nothing happens. I can move rudder, pitch and cyclic controls - but no motor.

If I plug in the batt with throttle on high to program - I get nothing.
Tried reversing throttle servo as well - no dice.

I am using a DX6 - And I set it up per this link:
http://www.digimemphoto.com/pdf/

Recvr lights up and all controls work - but no motor and cant program ESC.

I am sure it is something I am missing - I just cant think of what it is.

Yea - I guess the ESC could be bad - but previous owner says iy is fine.

Help !!!

Your describing the same symtoms as I had with the Trex600 ESC -- sent it back and got a replacement one and it's working fine.

Thanks Maxed,

I have watched that video 4-5 times.

It is great for when everything works OK. But does not address what to look for if there is a problem.

Problem is - I got mine used. But apparently worked for the previous owner.

fwiw..

Just a thought...run your throttle trim down about four clicks...Set the throttle curve in normal to 0 50 100...ONLY these three points..Remember you must plug the esc in with the stick all the way up to start programming...It memorizes high throttle, low throttle, then you program per the instructions...

John.

Shortened the ESC wires by splicing - soldering and heatshrinking (Andy at Aero Hobbies said this is perfectly acceptable to do).

I now get the beeps when I plug in the ESC - BUT STILL - Motor wont spin.

It did turn about two teeth one time - whoopee.

Any suggestions?? Anyway to test the motor to see if it is good?

Thanks.
