Due to the DX6 - virtually no glitching - can I run ESC wires by the motor, for example...

You will not have any glitches from your operating components with the Spektrum radios. They operate at 2.4 Ghz instead of 72Mhz and that takes the receiver operating frequency range way out of the range of interferance that is caused by the motors, speed controls or other components you may have on board. Additionaly, if you were to get some interferance anywhere in the 2.4 to 2.485 Ghz range you wouldn't know it since the receiver is actually two receivers operating on two different frequencies. The interferance would have to be on exactly the same two frequencies for this to happen. I think it's possible but not at all probable. I've been Spektrumized for about four months now and I ain't never going back. You will not feel more connected with your model than with the Spektrum. I can't wait for the 8,9 & 10 channel Spektrum radios to hit the market.

The only problem I found was having the gyro close to the motor. When I had my gyro up front, the rudder would glitch when the ESC was going thru its start-up routine. No problems in flight, though.

I think it does give more latitude for placement of electronics.
A. the reciever is so small it fits just about anywhere
B. location near other electric parts seem to have little or no affect on the function.
So I believe it does make placement a little more relaxing.
