Any suggestions on where to get a good high discharge 4 cell sub c nicad pack? I've come really close to getting a lithium setup but I just can't justify the cost right now (especially since I don't have a li-ion charger). I think my 2nd best choice is the old reliable standby.

Any good vendors out there with reasonable prices? I keep seeing them for cars, and I don't really want to make my own pack as I've never done it before and don't think my heli is where I want to learn pack building.

Thanks!

Ok. You peeked my interest. Anyone want to chime in with experience with the Selectra charger? Meanwhile I'll look it up!

well, they went up
http://www.horizonhobby.com/Search/...celectra&CatId=

I have the 1-3 cell one myself, up to 2 amps. I charge everything, from 1300 li-po to 4400 Li-ion's with it.

Pretty fool proof as well. Reminder beeps after charge complete WILL get your attention.

The 1-2 cell unit I have NOT used, although it would work OK if you want to wait 2 hours.

Another idea
I use a 120 v that I bought from Batteries America for $20, it is a converted cell phone charger....takes a while, but works well when I don't want to pack the full gear on the road.

NoBS NiMH low impedance, high capacity cells.
I run 4200MAh 4 cell pakcs in the 90 and 60, and 3800's in my 50's
8-10 flights per 50 is easy. No need for NiCD
