WOW! I would like to thank Daniel at Eastern Hleicopters for his outstanding service in delivering my newest BIG heli project the Vario UH1D for the PHT3-3 mechanics. It arrived in two huge boxes and it is one impressive model! The glass work is outstanding and the fit of parts very, very good. The turbine jet planker community could learn a few things from Vario!

Currently working on finishing the Vario turbine Cobra and then its on to this big mama! She'll be done up for scale competition... so hopefully we'll see some of you at the big events! Man....I do like the big eggbeaters!

I have flown the turbine Cobra for about a year now and you will love it! Work well under way on my Huey... just finished the cut outs and started cleaning them up. Will post some pics when I get chance.

You are right though, it is massive!!!

Morning Dean

OK, so I have to get something else just to be different. Looking at a Lama turbine but much later in 2007. Want to rack up a few hours on AirWolf.

Just as an after thought, you do have a trailer or a semi that can transport it. {:>

all the best

Hi Guys!

I must say that the big Vario scalers really impress me. Its nice to be back working on scale helis again. The turbine planker stuff is O.K. but burnout was starting to set in. I am looking forward to getting the Cobra in the air this spring. Joe Howard from East Coast had been working on the project on and off for the last 18 months and did a pretty decent job but there is still lots to do to get her in flying condition. The turbine Vario UH 1D is unlike any heli I have ever seen. It is massive with incredible quality evident in the molding of the fuse, tail, doghouse, doors....This is serious stuff and certainly shows in the engineering that has gone into the kit. Yup...This Vario stuff is impressive and complete unlike almost all of the other " scale " offerings out there nowadays. I'll try to post some pics as I progress with the Cobra and UH 1D.
