I’m giving serious thought to buying a CX heli. I’ve read that the CX2 is coming out soon. As far as I can tell the only difference is the CX2 has a better radio and a new fuselage. Are there any other differences that I missed? Is it worth the wait for the new model?

It also has an improved 4in1 which holds heading better and I believe is less prone to frying during a rotor stall in a crash. I would wait if it were me.

I'd seriously think about a CP or CP Pro while waiting if I were you.

It's absolutely worth the wait. I am going a little crazy but forcing myself to hold out.

You are only talking a matter of a few weeks, so of course it is worth waiting.

To the idea of getting a CP ahead of it. I have a CP that sits on my shelf as I await the CX2. I got the CP a while ago to fly with my young son. However, I discovered that it is actually pretty hard to fly and I found that I just didn't have the time to dedicate to learning to fly it. The CX2 seems like it will fit the bill much better and if I get better, I can always take the CP out of storage. If you are a beginner, the CP is not a substitute for the CX. It will likely be a much different experience.

I would buy the CX now. You can find it alot cheaper now with the new one comeing out. If you take the time and set it up right you don't have the problem with the tail moveing that much. As for as the alt. drop in a turn all you have to do is give it a little more power as you turn. It's by no means a heading lock gyro but only small input are needed. I can take my hans off mine and it will sit about 3 feet of the grond and do a slow turn in one spot for about 6 seconds. Use the extra money you save on a CP pro or another Bat. CX is nice to start with and great for nose in and side to side but you will out grow it.

Just my 2 cents

I've seen the BCX for 169 in stores. I almost went for it, but the Spektrum radio is a big draw for me. Have you found a better price?

Can you use the new radio with ony other heli or is it just the one it comes with? If not than I don't see the dif. Unless your flying with a group of people. Most of my time is in my house by myself. Or when I do get with a group I don't mind the 10 min wait untill the channel clears.

My thinking for buying the Blade CX2 is to avoid the normal glitching you get with regular radio's, even when no one is around. E-Flite does sell additional DMS2 receivers that I may put in an Easystar, that's how I figured out how to reuse the transmitter on another bird, your mileage may vary, LOL.

Cool as long as you not stuck with it being bound to the one heli. As far as glitches go never had on with mine, But that does not mean I will not.
