As stated before the idea was to keep it strong and light.

The mount still uses the 8611A for pan to make sure of no rotation problems. The mount has 6” of roll and 160 degrees of tilt and 360 degrees non stop panning like the Pro1. We didn’t cut any corners the mount its built as strong as the Pro1 but lighter and smaller.

Dry weight of mount came it at 2lbs. 13oz’s. My unit with the Sony V3 7.2 camera ,770JR PCM receiver with the downlink system all powered by a 730mah 3 cell lipo battery came in at 3lbs. 14oz’s better than we had hoped. I really couldn’t be happier! Price $599.00

I have to tell you we did a true test. About 5 minutes into the promo flight we figured out the speed control was programmed wrong and shut down 20ft off the ground. It belly flopped with almost stopped blades and bounced once. No damage to the anything. The cameraman had it in view then it just dropped. Not one thing was bent twisted or cracked.

Thanks and hope you like the video.

If you have the 600CF and the motor and esc that came with it watch the esc's programming. They had some they were shipped with the default set to airplane. This means very little heat will shut the motor down. Program it to heli and it works perfect.

Just a heads up on what we found and talking to Align here in the USA.

BTW we are going to offer a combo with the T-Rex 600CF 75 amp esc and motor with external BEC with bec battery and Razor Pro 600mm carbon main blades for $1195.00. With 4200 lipo 6 cell battery also it will be $1370.00

Thanks
John

The Pro1 is designed for that large of a camera. This is basically 1lb. and below. It will have no problem servo wise handling the camera but its baced around a 50 size nitro or electric.

Thanks

Thanks,

I loved the clip.

The new mount looks very promising to boot! It would be nice to have a system that is targeted toward the more affordable platforms/smaller cameras.

I can think of atleast several application that this would be perfect for. I want one....

Keep up the great work AF Team, it is inovations like this that keep pushing the envelope and leads toward more people getting exposed to this technology.

Kudos, FB

Thanks guys.
Chris Kelly does all of our editing and yes I'm very happy with him and his work. I forgot I hate to say it that Thursday is Thanksgiving.
We will be closed Friday so it looks like the first 10 will ship on Monday.

You won't be disappointed. Keep in mind it still has the clutch system to save you're camera along with the JR 8611A to make sure no problems on rotation. I also like the dampening we cam up with to keep the unit light.

Glad you guys like it. The price is $599.00 plus shipping.

And when i try to fly this camera with my rapy50 and more lighweight mount (not airfoils) i dont have good results. There is no freedom of flight in emergency situation.

Nice job John

I am totally in love with the mount! I really, really like the concept here. Things will be so much better for my camera operator! Especially for video in the future!

I fly a Logo-20 (600-mm) and currently just use a small Point & shoot with a home made mount. My intentions are to put my Rebel XT in the air for 2007! I would never put that camera on a 600-mm copter such as the Logo-20, but I would with it's bigger brother the Logo-24 [680-mm] (bionic); a friend in Canada has my exact set-up with a L24 and Rebel with great success.. but uses a different mount I think it's the M1 CARBON 30P.

So..

What I am asking / wondering.. I could use the new Mini Pro1 for my existing Logo-20 (600-mm) & point and shoot in place of my home made mount, then when I do decide to upgrade to the new Logo-24 (680-mm) I will be able to simply replace the point and shoot with the better Rebel XT camera? Using the same mount?

Cheers!
