Got my first flite on the HDX300 tonite indoors... What size pinion are you guys running on the 300? I have the 11T on it now and the headspeed is really high, but the heli is stable and hovers nice, Just a little more dialing in and she should be good to go..... so far I'm very impressed with this little bird.....

Tom..... No "D" flying....

I was running a 8t two days ago but my heli seemed to have a very slow head speed so i put on a 9t and its help a lot for me anyways. Except i crashed yesterday morning, bent the main shaft AGAIN it always seems to bend no matter what, I didnt strip a gear Im happy about that there expensive, dented my blades just put in an order for some 255mm cf blades, and bent the boom a little bit but I fixed it enough so i can fly till my cf boom arrives. Put on some blades the came with a HB 3d pro which are longer and im impressed how much nice they make the heli fly, and stable.

I noticed today while dialing things in that the motor ESC and battery are getting warmer than I would like so I will drop down a tooth or 2 from the 11T and see if that fixes the heat problem...I just have to see if I have a 9 or 10T pinion laying around...

There is considerably more drag from the tail system on the HDX than there is on my Trex as well. Yes, this is a concern to me. I still don't have my HDX dialed in right, but during test hovers, my Himax gets really hot! Since I have never used the Himax before, I don't have anything to copare it to. The HDX outrunner I use on my CP conversion stays very cool. I have the belt as loose as I can get it without slippage. Does anyonel else have these issues? As to my problems with my HDX, I am getting tail wobbles (in the vertical direction, not wagging.) My head speed is 2400, so I don't think it is that, but I am not sure. Any suggestions?
What Himax are you using? I want to try a Himax 2015/4100Kva. But I bought the big E-flite heatsink for it.

GAHH!!! Someone call 911!! My wallet is bleading heli parts!!
